Drew was born in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains where he spent much of his time outdoors, building forts, working with his hands and fostering a relationship with the world around him. That love eventually brought Drew to Ashland, Oregon where he majored in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, while simultaneously apprenticing a local blacksmith. It was in the blacksmith shop that Drew rekindled his love for making things by hand and discovered the dynamic relationship that can be achieved when combining wood and metal. He is looking forward to furthering his understanding of fine woodworking, gaining insight into all the elements involved in the furniture making process and ultimately hopes to one day have a wood and metal shop of his own.
