Gabe comes to us as a UC Berkeley alum, where he studied philosophy of rhetoric. After graduating, he discovered a passion for wood craft, and started to build a wood shop in his garage. After a few years of enjoying his passion as a hobby, Gabe became serious about it and started his own custom furniture business, Next Bevel Designs. He gravitated to the Krenov school by studying the writings and perspectives of James Krenov, and hopes to incorporate Krenov’s discipline into his own craft while here in Fort Bragg. Gabe’s approach to the craft is rooted in celebrating California as a natural wonder, with a focus on bringing the beauty and grace out of the materials that occur and become available naturally here in his home state.
