Southern California Native, Leah Newell, hails from Riverside, California. A career international educator, committed to promoting global understanding and competency, she answered the call of wood eight years ago with a four-month foray into the medium at Rosewood fine woodworking studio in Ontario, Canada. This taste of possibility led to years of study and practice on a local and weekly basis through the Riverside Community College extension system. Thankful for both the past and current opportunities in wood, Leah is looking to the future as she seeks a deeper understanding and greater expertise while examining this fascination and new potential career path of fine woodworking.
