Born and raised in San Diego Ca, Matt’s first introduction to woodworking started at a young age building skateboard ramps for him and his friends. Though, his eventual career path would lead him down the road of action sports photography, he always remained intrigued and curious about building and craftsmanship.  Realizing how much he enjoyed, and missed working with his hands Matt decided to pursue his education in fine furniture making.  Shortly after enrolling in his local college’s woodworking program his passion for furniture construction was realized.  Looking to develop and increase his skills, Matt finds himself today, at College of the Redwoods.
