Max Geldman was born in Los Angeles, where he spent much of his life pursuing an education in art wandering through museums and art classes. He received his bachelor’s degree at The Evergreen State College in Washington State where he spent his last two years a part of a school project to plan and build a Japanese Teahouse. Shortly after returning to Los Angeles, and while working and saving up money to attend the College of the Redwoods Fine Furniture Making Program Max was invited to work on a gorilla art installation in Griffith Park building a small hut on an old cement foundation located along side a park hiking trail using dead Redwood burned down in the 2007 fire. A month after the hut’s completion Max moved to Fort Bragg where his currently learning some much needed lessons in humility.
