I grew up in Kansas and my dad was a general contractor, so after college I went to work for him and he taught me to be a finish carpenter. I did that for 12 years and go out of it and worked in a completely different industry and during the pandemic I decided that woodworking was what I really wanted to be doing. I got back into it and was working in a production cabinet shop and just starting to make higher and higher quality things and just realizing that what I wanted to do was make the highest quality furniture I could make. I had read James Krenov’s books and really connected with his philosophy. I am thrilled that I am here.
