Harrison Applegate

Born in the Pacific Northwest, I was fortunate enough to grow up around family and friends who taught me the value of creativity, music, nature, art, and craftsmanship.

My greatest joy is making something with my own two hands, and getting completely lost in the process. In my recent years, I’ve devoted my energy and focus to building wooden musical instruments. My training so far has mostly been in the areas of acoustics and mechanics, so I’m excited to take another deep dive and explore the behavior and character of wood through the lens of fine woodworking. I am looking forward to being part of the Krenov community, and learning all I can from my instructors and colleagues. It’s inspiring to be in this beautiful part of California, and to be around such a great group of like-minded creatives.
