I came to my love of carpentry and woodwork through watching my dad build my family’s house around us. Over the last decade, I’ve worked in different corners of the carpentry and construction universe – from conventional construction to small-scale furniture making, with an emphasis on building and maintaining community and workshop spaces. I find deep purpose in dedicating my work to the function and beauty of everyday infrastructure and am in a life-long courtship with the sacred behind-the-scenes work it takes to keep organizing spaces and communities running smoothly and sustainably. Beyond woodwork, my love of creating with my hands shows up in my pottery, doodles, touching dirt, and cooking meals for friends. I’m so excited to be back for a second year at the Krenov School – last year humbled me over and over again and I’m ready to have the lessons keep coming.
