Raised on the central coast of CA, I was privileged to grow up surrounded by natural beauty and open space. A five month trek on the Pacific Crest Trail and a comparable journey in New Zealand deepened my appreciation for wild spaces. My cumulative year spent traveling on foot exposed me to the elegance of a life boiled down to its core components. Upon returning from my walking, I sought to apply the minimalist principles of backpacking to my everyday life, and so began my multi-year quest to create a small, hand built dwelling of the highest quality that my ability would allow. With my home finally complete, I am grateful to spend a second year at the Krenov School, honing my skill, listening to the material, and experimenting with forms in furniture.
