Mattie is an illustrator from Richmond, Virginia. They came to California in 2015 to attend College of the Redwood’s Eureka campus, studying carpentry and cabinetry before coming to Fort Bragg to focus on fine furniture. They hope to eventually extend their knowledge of woodworking as an instructor, specifically to women.

Update: they are now, in fact, an instructor at CSU Chico and Butte College, as well as director of Second Cousin Gallery in Chico, CA.
