Dearest you,

You’ll be excited to know I have made the journey to Fort Bragg safely. Though it was not far, the space between here and Los Angeles seems great. I expected my background in cabinetry would take me far, however, I find myself resurrecting my fine art education and listening to the internal rhythms established by my musical training.

It has been hard to leave you, the sun, and the routines of life behind. The cats and I miss you tenderly. All the same, you will be happy to know that I am beginning to feel at home, make new friends, and find community in unexpected places. I am writing you from my bench, currently covered in cedar shavings, and must get back to work. Please send more ways to breathe.
