I was born in Houston, Texas, but have lived about everywhere else since. Before
woodworking, I was interested in cheese making, which led me to attend the Putney School
in Vermont to work with a local cheese maker. I enrolled in an evening woodworking class
and enjoyed it so much that I would spend my lunch breaks in the workshop. I moved to
Virginia at the beginning of my junior year in high school and started a small business selling
furniture. I stumbled on The Krenov School’s Instagram page and was drawn to the level of
detail in students’ work. After an exchange year in Germany and a season as a ski instructor
in Utah, I decided to apply for the program. I’m very excited for the learning opportunity and
time I have surrounded by amazing people for the next nine months.
